still can’t believe that someone would write Padme dying from “loosing her will to live” after just having two beautiful babies and meanwhile that burned circus peanut has enough will to survive 100% burning and tripple amputation. only a man could write that bullshit.
They should have made Padme die from Anakin’s Force choke right there on Mustafar; at least that would have been more believable. But of course, that wasn’t an option. She had to deliver Luke and Leia.
the kicker for me is that Padme shouldn’t have even died- in the OT Leia remembers her birth mother. Lucas fucked up. And yeah, what the OP said, only a man could write that hypocritical bullshit.
Otherwise, I try to fall back on my two favorite proposed fan theories about padme:
1. she faked her death and the funeral was a sham to throw anakin and the emperor off. Padme stayed with the Organa family, still helping to secretly organize the Rebellion, but did die young when Leia was about three.
2. she only died because the emperor was siphoning her life force into Anakin to keep that bastard alive and that’s why she died and palpatine later said it was his fault like the creep he is.
