Can we just appreciate that the official poster of hannibal changes the game on objectifying cause usually it’s female characters posses like:

It’s flipping the Male Gaze on it’s head. Which Hannibal does ALL THE TIME. Like the women in this show are not fragmented, THE MEN ARE. 

And people use “fan service” in a derogatory way. In this case what they mean is “non-cis/het/male gaze” which is demonized just like the rest of non-cis/het/male sexuality in day to day life. 

So yeah, people need to check their use of the term ‘fan service’ because straight guys get fan service 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 

They don’t understand, for a show like Hannibal to be doing this, THIS IS THE BIGGEST “FUCK YOU” TO THE WORLD I’VE EVER SEEN.
