A little while ago, I made a post, asking fellow shippers to share their Blackice headcanons, so I could collect them into one post, and share our different views, spreading love and inspiration around for this ship.
I honestly didn’t expect anyone to be interested, but in a few days, I got a few submissions. And here they are! I got in a total of 6 submissions, more than what I hoped for. Maybe I could do this again in the future, with even more participants. Feel free to message me if you would be interested.

“I like to think Jack is fascinated with Pitch’s hands. He could spend hours looking at them, feeling them, memorizing every individual line and marking. He especially loves how long Pitch’s fingers are!”
“It’s not a particularly novel headcanon I suppose, but I imagine Pitch resents Jack for being that lost and lonely for so long and never bothering to come talk to Pitch about it. (Pitch is just as guilty for not seeking out Jack, but he’s not going to admit to that.) I imagine it’s part of why he’s so passive-aggressive with Jack at the Tooth Palace, talking about how he’s going to ignore Jack, making a point of it because Pitch feels ignored in turn. And it only snowballs from there.”
“I picture 300 years of Jack Frost avoiding Pitch because, well /Boogeyman/. So Pitch is catty about it, until he gets close enough to discover /exactly how deep/ Jack’s loneliness and isolation runs, which is when he takes the risk to sway Jack to his side, and of course that backfires spectacularly.”
“Pitch likes to play with Jack’s feet and see if they make frost all the time.”
“If Pitch can’t find Jack, he just goes looking in children’s sections of libraries because he’s probably listening to the little kids read stories or telling them stories.”
“BlackIce headcanon that Jack and Pitch have epic battles in public where kids can see, so they can both gain believers. No one else knows the outcome of these battles dictates who’s in charge in the bedroom afterward.”

↓↓↓ And here’s two headcanons of mine, just to share some myself too. ↓↓↓
“Jack’s zodiac sign is Pisces, while Pitch’s is Scorpio. Also, according to Myers-Briggs type indicator, Jack turns out to be an ENFP, and Pitch an INTJ.”
“Pitch very rarely sleeps. He doesn’t need to, instead he just rests a few hours every day, but sleeping… no. For some strange mystery, he doesn’t need to sleep in order to survive.
Jack, just like other spirits, needs a few hours of sleep a day, but definitely not as much as mortals do. 3-4 hours is just enough, but if he got time over, he likes to sleep some more.
The Nightmare King, even though he has a hard time admitting it, is afraid of falling asleep. The few times he has slept, most of his dreams quickly turned into nightmares. Sleeping also meant letting his guard down, making it easy for the nightmares to infuse fear into their master, trying to take over control. However… By time he learns a way to actually tame his minions, so they no longer have the guts to get near him, even while sleeping.
Why all the effort? Well, so he could sleep together with Jack, of course. He had noticed the boy liked to sleep, for the sake of the beautiful dreams. And Pitch yearned to sleep next to him, so their dreams could form together, and they could share their same dreams. With the help of some magic, all Pitch needs to do, is to be in contact with Jack’s body, in order for it to work. And so they spend a few hours a night, dreaming about snow days, starry nights and deep forests. It was also thanks to dreams, that Jack overcame his fear for ice skating, and walking on thin ice. In dreams, where nothing is real, neither had the fear of drowning, as they skated on a huge lake, while the moon and the stars watched over them. And one day, Jack learned to not be afraid anymore, as he got the courage to finally take a step out on real ice, and skate with Pitch while awake. The boy was happy, and wanted to stay by Pitch’s side for the rest of his life, both awake and asleep.”
(Looked through some of my old headcanons, and did take some time deciding what to chose, since all of them are super long, so these two will do.)

P.S – I had a discussion recently regarding this ship, and how much spam there is in the blackice tag, featuring posts not having anything to do with the ship itself, so me and @fearking thought, why not creating a new tag for the ship, so we can avoid having to scroll through so much useless content. The new tag is blackicerotg. Please do spread this around to others, so we can all enjoy this ship and keep it alive, without all the annoying spam ruining the experience. Of course, you don’t need to stop using the tag blackice. (I’ll still use it.) Many of us are just tired of having to scroll through spam, to find the content we’re looking for, so we advice you to try it out. It would be great doing a change, and bring more love back to this ship.
